Trouble Sleeping Maybe You Need to see Your Chiropractor
You toss and you turn. Maybe the clock stares back at you. Why is this happening all of a sudden? Did this uncomfortable feeling in your neck just appear out of nowhere? Why is this happening at night when I should be asleep? The answer may be in the palm of your hand, clear as daylight.
The overuse of cell phones is creating numerous physical maladies. Since we are required to hold the small phone to our ears we are putting extra stress on the neck and shoulders. This comes back to haunt us when we try and find a comfortable way to sleep. You may toss and turn all night getting little or no benefit from a good night’s rest. This is where you should think of giving up the cell phone or consider seeing a chiropractor. When you crane your neck to hear conversation after conversation you are putting undue physical stress on one side of your neck. This action allows the spinal vertebra to misalign. Massage alone won’t put the vertebra back where it belongs. This is where a chiropractor comes into the picture.
A chiropractor will address the pain by removing the physical stress that accompanies a misaligned vertebra. You will notice not only a reduction of pain but a much better night’s rest that awaits you. The misaligned vertebra is called a subluxation. It basically blocks the brain’s ability to communicate with the body. Some people call it a pinched nerve, which is a partial description and does not fully consider the neurological implications of a subluxated vertebra. The brain controls the body through nerves. When a nerve is blocked, all hell can break loose. Pain and discomfort is only a small part of the sequella. Dysfunction of the region is quite common and serious if left untreated. Spinal health is important especially if you want to remain upright. It may be time to consider seeing a chiropractor. I can promise you that you will sleep better and feel better.
